Aura Friedman: Colourist, artist, and more than meets the eye. Known for her talent of creating captivating hair colour for a myriad of celebrities and magazines alike, Aura continues to build on her artistic vision. From playing with hair to playing with film, she is now serving as a Creative Director. Having successfully brought “Screen Tests” to life in collaboration with photographer/director Marissa Kaiser, she is now working on a second short film which is sure to be just as much of a feast for the eyes as the first. Classic and playful, Aura’s generation of each character speaks to her range as an artist as well as her genuine love for creating.

How do you start your day off?
With coffee and a Bikram yoga class.
What’s going on in the background when you get ready?
I’m either jamming to my Spotify playlist or listening to NPR.

My ribbon choker, lipstick and my Persian Garden fragrance oil.
What are your closet essentials?
Lace, sheer and vintage clothing! I’m really into low-rise boyfriend jeans from Levi’s and vintage tees lately.
What is your biggest fashion regret?
Sheer, tight, tattoo t-shirts in the late ’90s. L.O.L.
You always splurge on, and you always save on…
I splurge on vintage designer pieces, and I always save on vintage clothing in general.
What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?
I lost my Atari shirt somewhere along the way…

Wear clothes that flatter your body, but express yourself!

Express yourself and have fun! And, wear appropriate clothing for the occasion.
