2017 has been a whirlwind. We’ve had our highs, many lows, and now, the year is wrapping up before we had the chance to even realize Trump’s been in office for almost a year 😫.
But, the year hasn’t been all bad. As lucky fashion folk, we’ve been introduced to many a beauty product this year, and we’ve rounded up what we think has been the creme de la creme. Here is the Best of 2017: Beauty Edition.
NARS Liquid Blush: Up until 2017, we were all about the powdered blush, however, after we met NARS’ Liquid Blush, we were forever changed. The liquid creates a more natural looking flush to the cheeks, and works well with pretty much all skin tones.
Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Morning Aura illuminating Crème: At first, we were skeptical of the hype, but after we applied the crème to our face, we became believers. It’s part brightening primer, and part moisturizer, with micro pearls, that leave the skin looking bright and illuminated. A perfect base for whatever make-up application you’re in the mood for.
Glossier You Perfume: We’re pretty picky when it comes to scent, but Glossier’s perfume release had us questioning our signature scent from when we were teens. The incomplete formula completely changes when applied to your skin, creating a unique smell for the wearer. We tested it out in the office, and when our staffers asked people what they thought of the smell, the general consensus was: “That’s so you!”
Glossier Body Hero: Let’s just call this year, the year of Glossier, shall we? With their expansion all over the world, perfectly branded pop-up shops and new launches, Emily Weiss and the team behind Glossier can do no wrong. Their launch of their Body Hero products have become hero’s in all TS staffers beauty cabinets. The body wash leaves skin feel super soft, and the lotion leaves a tiny iridescence on the skin. We can’t get enough.
NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg The Multiple: Charlotte Gainsbourg will always be the epitome of French cool in these offices. So, you can only imagine our excitement when she partnered with NARS to create the dream makeup collection. The Multiple, a popular piece in NARS collection, is the perfect size to fit in any clutch, and the colours chosen by Gainsbourg leave you with the perfect hint of colour, without being too overpowering.
NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg Lip Tint: When we first opened the lip tint in the “Double Decker” colour, we were almost scared off. The deep mauve colour looked ultra sexy and a tad vampish in the tube. However, when applied, much like The Multiple, it provides the most subtle hint of colour with the right amount of sex appeal. The lip tint is also enriched with a coconut oil, so it moisturizes as you apply! Dream.
