A New York Minute

A New York Minute

Written by The Strategy

We recently made the journey down south(ish) to the fashion capital of North America, New York City. We were there on a mission: We gave ourselves 24 hours to colour ourselves inspired.

The Glossier showroom.

Our first stop, of course, was to the O.G. Glossier showroom (123 Lafayette St.,). There, we tried on every product and banked enough mirror selfies to get us through to our visit to their newest location in LA. Lash Stick = Life. A quick lunch break at Eataly in the Flatiron (200 5th Ave.,) district had us filling our stomachs and wishing we could take meats and cheeses across the border. The burrata at Manzo tasted so amazing, we wish we could have brought leftovers home.

After our lunch, that may or may not have had us unbuttoning a button or two of our JBrands, we headed to our dear friend, Anine Bing’s, new store location (81 Greene St.,). Each store is quintessential Anine Bing and this new location was no exception. Her t-shirts and lace bra’s are a must-have at TS HQ, as is the ever burning Savage Rose candle.

Next, we stumbled upon Coming Soon‘s Raquel’s Dream Home (79 Greene St., Open only during May), which is filled with shoppable art work, an awesome skateboard wall and amazing furniture. The colour palette alone had us inspired.

We’ve heard a lot about Le Board (513 Broadway), so naturally, during our 24 hour visit, we had to stop by. We have more on them coming soon, but in the meantime, we urge you to go check it out for yourself. Each piece inspired the She-E-O within.

A trip to New York is never complete without a trip to Miss Lily’s. Every item on the menu is killer, as is the vibe of the Soho location (132 W. Houston St.,). Amazing beats play on the sound system, the staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the patron’s styles are off the chart. It’s seems it’swhere all the cities most fashionable seem to congregate.

Finally a moment to catch our breath – we did it! We went to New York for the shortest amount of time, and came back feeling freshly inspired and our creative juices flowing. *Sigh*.
