'Me' Time

'Me' Time

Written by The Strategy

Coming by a little R&R these days can be tough. Work can be all too consuming, life gets busy, and we forget to take some time for ourselves. Girls nights are great, and family night is fun too, but there are sometimes when you just need a little alone time. Which is why going on a solo date is the perfect idea.

There is this kind of widespread fear when it comes to going out alone. As if going to see a movie by yourself will stop traffic, or taking yourself out to eat at your favourite restaurant will cause the ground to swallow you up. It shouldn’t be so taboo to take yourself out on a solo date, even if it’s just for a quick shopping trip or for a coffee at Starbucks.

As with any date, there is always the question of what to wear. We would opt for something casual but entirely street-style envy worthy. Classic stone washed denim, a white blouse, some loafers, and a structured bag are perfect. Add on a sweep of your favourite lipstick and you have all the makings of a great date.

Be sure to stash your phone away to really catch up on quality me-time.

As Tom Haverford and Donna Meagle would say, “Treat yo self!”
