Small Pieces. Big Impact.

Small Pieces. Big Impact.

Written by Katrina Garofalo

If there’s one dividing article of style, it’s got to be jewelry.

People either love jewelry, capital L-O-V-E, or they’re sort of neutral on the whole idea. There’s always been a fine line that separated the fanatics from the blasé. Jewelry is either too much or too little. Too big or too small. Too flashy or too plain. You either have to force yourself to abide by the “take one thing off before you go” rule, or forget that you even own a necklace.

Whichever side of the line you fall on, there’s a wave coming back that it’s enticing to both.

Tiny, delicate, dainty jewelry.

Sure, it’s been around the block before, but what we’re seeing lately is at once more refined and artsy.

These tiny rings and things are sporting details like negative space, shaping, and even tinier jewels that more than make up for their otherwise small presence. As a style of jewelry, it allows you the freedom to pile on all the pieces you want without looking cluttered or overwhelmed.

And yet, as a non-jewelry person myself, all I can think is that these beautiful little pieces of art would sit unused in my care. Because it still takes an extra level of thought to put together jewelry that compliments the daily getup. Even though the jewelry may be tiny, the know-how to do it right is intimidatingly large.

But they’re just so pretty.

As goes the life of a pros and cons case such as jewelry.
