Bio
Welcome to The Strategy HQ! Up until now, we’ve given you peaks of the daily lives of some of our favourite trendsetters and fashion insiders, but today we’re changing that. We’re turning the camera inwards and giving you a peak of what our workspace is like. We’ve set up shop in the heart of our hometown, Toronto (otherwise known as The 6ix), where we find inspiration on the daily.
As we want to know “why you’re wearing that” and what is inspiring your style, we’ve filled our office space with items that inspire us. The simplest things, from fresh flowers to all of our favourite fashion books, inspire us when we work from TS HQ.
We also sat down with our Co-Founder/Creative Director, Natasha Lawrence, to talk more about what’s inspiring the website.
Q&A
What does a typical day in The Strategy office look like?
No day at TS is ever the same! There are a lot of days when our mornings start with a quick Starbucks before meeting with a client for a shoot, and others when we sit in the office with our laptops and work 8 hours a day. It’s part of the reason I love what I do!
What’s going on in the background when you are working?
While I prefer silence, I know a lot of others can’t work like that, so we will often have a playlist going on in the back. We all have generally the same taste in music, so it’s easy to find songs.
What are TS’ closet essentials?
Skinny jeans, a good t-shirt and a massive bag to carry to shoots, the office etc.
What inspired the idea of The Strategy?
Fashion has become so voyeuristic with the introduction of social media and fashion websites. We’re no longer satisfied with street snaps of our favourite trendsetters. Personally, I was so curious as to what was going on in people’s heads when they got dressed in the morning, so I decided to delve deeper, and voilà! The Strategy was born.
