“Beauty Guru” would be an understated title for the woman that is Jessica Liebeskind. Not only has she founded two makeup brands, the first while she was in college and the second earlier this year, she’s crafted each and every step of her career to push her into being where she wants to be. After spending six years working at Bobbi Brown in product development, Jessica branched out to take her own functional and stylish take on cosmetics and create VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind. Focusing on natural beauty that compliments rather than distracts, Jessica’s philosophy of practical, pretty makeup is evident in her products. We want to get our hands on all of it, and we’re sure you will too!

How do you start your day off?
Check emails, Facebook & Instagram. I’m not a big tweeter – but I’m learning. A quick FaceTime call with my baby nephew. Chocolate Raspberry coffee from Java Girl when I don’t work out & Juice Generation when I do.

What are your closet essentials?
Lulu’s and beat up cashmere sweaters. I live in them. Stilettos. Unique pieces from DIGS. Jeans. Leather leggings. I mix up a lot of stuff and don’t shop as much as people think.
What’s going on in the background when you get ready?
TV, music, candles, etc… Saturday night it’s always music. All other days it’s HSN.
What is your biggest fashion regret?
Not finding balance in my wardrobe. I’m either super casual or very high fashion. I haven’t mastered finding that in-between…
You always splurge on and you always save on…
Always splurge on shoes, bags and good jewelry. Save on super trendy seasonal clothes.
What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?
I actually saved it! It’s this super boxy, cropped ivory cardigan covered in pearls. I attempted to salvage it by removing the shoulder pads. It didn’t work. But I won’t get rid of it!! I swear – it’s coming back!
