Danielle Reynolds is an new-age fashion pro. She hails from our hometown, Toronto, and shares her unique view of the world around her through her stunning Instagram account. When she’s not photographing the latest adventure she’s taken, Danielle works for Free Agency, a “by artists, for artists” online league of innovative content creators. Her individual style and unique perspective allow for some expert level creativity when it comes to her own content. How do you start your day off?
Water! I always hydrate first thing. Then I cuddle my husky puppy- Fox- and go put on the kettle for tea. I’m convinced you can’t have a bad day if you start it off with puppies and tea.
You never leave home without…
My notebook! As an avid list maker I don’t go anywhere without my white moleskin notebook. Gotta stay organized.
What do you find most inspires your work?
My girl squad. For real though, the network of creative girls (and guys) that surrounds me on the daily always inspires me to create and experiment. S/O to my sister, my roommates, and my coworkers at The Creator Class for continually dropping fire.
What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?
A silver pair of converse high-tops that I bought on my first trip to NYC. My mom took my sister and I for my 16th birthday. On the very last day of the trip, on our way to the airport, I spotted the shoes in a window on 5th ave and just had to have them. They must still be in a box at my mom’s house. Maybe I should bring them back. Maybe.
You always splurge on and you always save on…
As an avid long distance runner, sneakers are always a splurge. Nike Women’s 15k, I’m coming for ya! Socks are a save. My boyfriend can surely attest to that. Thanks for letting me steal all your socks, Nick!
What is the one thing you can always be sure to find in your closet?
Hats are a wardrobe must. I keep my snapback & toque collection stocked.
What is your favourite outfit you’ve ever worn?
On my 19th birthday I wore a short black dress with chiffon bell sleves that made me feel like Stevie Nicks. It was Topshop but I bought it at Jonathan+Olivia on Ossington Street before Topshop ever came to Toronto. That was probably the best birthday ever. Sadly, I lost it on a trip to Vegas.
Your fashion motto is…
A good coat solves all fashion woes. Be it a wooly duster for winter or a light trench for spring, outerwear can take any basic outfit to the next level. Since it’s something you wear everyday, I’d say it’s worth investing in. A good coat has got you covered. Literally.

Dress from the bottom up. Footwear sets the groundwork for our outfit.
