Where are the best places to be beautified in Toronto, you ask? We have answers. We spent one whole day in the city getting beautified from top to toe at all the best places.
The Supplies
Toronto has an abundance of beauty stores, but Consonant Life and The Detox Market stand out from the rest.
Consonant Life sells its own brand of all natural beauty products. Products range from soap to face masks and even sunscreen. The scent free and all natural products are also highly effective. The face and eye cream act as the perfect base for a flawless makeup application and the cleanser was perfect for removing makeup at the end of the day.

The Detox Market specializes in natural and organic green beauty. When you visit The Detox Market, you will see products that have been put under the looking glass, and you are getting the best products possible. The Detox Market doesn’t just have sales people; they have naturopathic doctors, skincare experts and makeup artists. Your purchase isn’t just a purchase, but an educated decision.

The Prep
For prep, we visited Blitz Facial Bar, where we received The O2 Blitz Facial. The spot was the perfect place to get a fresh slate for a seamless makeup application later. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was impeccable and the facial itself was on for the books. Our skin looked flawless after the facial, and only got better days after, as the aesthetician noted.

The Nails
Of course for nails, our stop had to be Her Majesty’s Pleasure. It’s been a Toronto favourite since it’s opening. That may have something to do with their bar, or their exception service and quality application. We love getting a mani with a mimosa in hand.

The Hair
For hair, we ventured over to our neighbours, Vent Blow Dry Bar, and received possibly the best blow dry of our lives. This is not an exaggeration. The relatively new blow dry bar offers a wide variety of styles, and has stylists who are able to style based on photographs you show them. We may or may not have slipped them a photo of a Meghan Markle messy bun… An added bonus is that the blow dry bar offers cocktails whilst you get your hair done, making it the perfect spot to visit with your girlfriends or after a long days work, pre-evening event.

The Makeup
Lastly, we visited Kirsch Cosmetics. If you are looking for not only a makeup application, but also a makeup education, we recommend you stop by too. The studio offers makeup applications, makeup lessons and makeup updates, all with a highly educated beauty staff to guide you through. While most makeup applications leave us feeling chalky with heavy faces, Kirsch left us feeling fresh and like a more updated version of ourselves.
