As you all know, the 90s were a wonderful time. So wonderful that many of the clothing options we have had for the past few seasons are reincarnates of 90’s classics. As an official ode to all things 90s, once and for all, we present to you a capsule of the most noteworthy pieces brought from our childhood so that may appreciate them today.

Calvin Klein: Celebrities and models alike began the movement by posting snippets of their CK undergarments on Instagram earlier in the year, and slowly but surely the 90s icon made it’s way back into out hearts. The deal was sealed when we saw Lottie Moss in the new ads. And now all we can think about is getting into one of those sweatshirts and a pair of briefs.

Mom Jeans: Rachel Green is an all around style icon of the 1990s, and one thing she wore best was mom jeans. Skinny jeans are great and all, but mom jeans are super great. High waist? Check. Slightly loose? Check. Available in distressed option? Check. It could even be said that mom jeans are better than boyfriend jeans, but we’ll leave that final conclusion up to you.

Slip Dresses: The slip dress is the overlooked style staple that we can get our hands on practically everywhere. They are overlooked because they are so plain. But therein lies the beauty of slip dresses. Slip dresses go well with anything you want to add to them. They are a perfect base for running shoes, combat boots, flats, heels, grandma sweater, leather jacket…whatever your heart desires.

Cropped Knits: Cropped things of all sorts are good, but specifically speaking of cropped knitwear, the fuzzy sweater can’t be beat. Ever since Liv Tyler wore that baby blue cropped knit sweater in Empire Records, the fuzzy cropped knit has been on our minds. It’s cute, it’s comfortable, and it goes well with our mom jeans. What more could you ask for?

Last but not least, the 90s comeback that just won’t quick (not that we would want it to)…

Plaid: Plaid was the one element that was incorporated into your wardrobe no matter what style you had. Preps love plaid, punks love plaid, everyone loves plaid. There is plaid everything from undergarments to outerwear, and we all clearly cannot get enough. With all the variety as to what can be accomplished with the pattern, it really is no wonder as to why it has had such a strong comeback.

We’ve only picked a handful of the many wonderful garments the 90’s gave us, but we’ve added a side of the iconic choker necklace for you to shop because we couldn’t resist.

The 90’s may have come and gone, but they will always be in our hearts and in our wardrobes. We genuinely hope this blast from the past trend never dies.
