Style is original. Personal. Unique to you, your likes, dislikes, preferences, and know-how. But occasionally, someone crosses your path with an outfit so well crafted, so enviable, that you have to have it. You become fixated. The outfit of perfection on that lady crossing the street was just too good to let go.
And you end up (cue the dramatic music)… COPY CATTING.
Inspiration strikes in mysterious ways, and it just so happens that one of those ways is through someone else’s ensemble. It’s not the greatest moment of stylistic pride to down right copy an outfit, though it is irresistible when the moment strikes. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, after all. And it would probably be a huge thrill to see a copy cat of one of your flawless outfits.
We wouldn’t suggest copy catting outfits daily, however from time to time there is a little thrill in finding the necessary pieces. It’s also a nice break when you’re lacking the brainpower to be creative with what you wear.
Take a look at some outfits we have stumbled upon through the power of the Harper’s Bazaar Pinterest. Hey, while you’re there, we’ve got a great little Pinterest page of our own kicking around. You would love it.
We want to copy these outfits head to toe, and have little to no shame about it.
Can’t deny a good look it’s time to shine.
