Okay, picture this:
You go out shopping and happen upon something that you really love. Let’s say it’s a pair of Mom Jeans that totally fit you perfectly and are amazingly comfortable, as a completely random example.
So you have these Mom Jeans, and you love them. They become your favourite pants, your favourite piece of clothing…they’re the best. You wear to everything from lunch to dinner, and everything in between. One day, a long while into the relationship, you notice that the fabric is getting a little thin, which makes sense since you wear them pretty much everyday. You decide to go to the place you bought your most prized jeans to get another pair because at this point you feel like you can’t live without them.
Only one minor problem.
THE JEANS ARE DISCONTINUED!
Not only do you fall into a serious state of denial, but there are rotating phases of anger, heartbreak, and disappointment thrown in there as well. Are they at a different location? Maybe online? Different store? They have to just be out of stock, right?
In the midst of trying to hunt down any remnants of the now discontinued love of your life, it is crucial to remember that you are not alone. It happens to the best of us. Whether it be jeans, nail polish, or anything else worthy of such intense devotion.
Everyone always says that if you like something that much you buy multiple of it. Never was this piece of advice taken seriously until now.
Planning on buying at least three of whatever the next item of infatuation happens to be.
Lesson learned.
