It is often said, “give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world, “ and we couldn’t agree more.
This month, we’re wishing a very happy belated birthday to Christian Louboutin, who celebrated his 52nd birthday on January 7th. As tribute to this incredibly influential designer, we’re recalling the Louboutin Effect.
The Louboutin Effect is one many of us have had the privilege to experience. For most of us, it starts with the build up of our life savings fund and ends with it emptied. We all love an affordable find, but then there’s the Carrie Bradshaw in all of us who prefers our money where we can see it: in our closet or, in this case, in a pair of red-lacquered soles.
We, at The Strategy, believe there is something to be said about the effect a pair of Louboutin patent leather heels has to offer every woman. If shoes could make us believe in magic, these are those shoes; they are both the ruby slippers and the Cinderella glass shoes simultaneously. They’re an investment we can instantaneously feel good about; and with every step, from day to night, they bring the confidence, the quality, and the comfort we women crave in our lives. There is no denying it – just six inches taller, and we’re on top on the world, ready to take on anything.
This is the Louboutin Effect, and it’s something to be recognized. Now, if there is one thing we know to be true, it’s this:
Whoever said, “diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” never owned a pair of Louboutins.
