Q&A
How do you start your day off?
A cup of tea while reading through my emails with the radio on in the background.
You never leave home without…
My iPhone, note pad/pen, some Burts Bees and red lipstick.
What do you find most inspires your work?
Everyday life inspires me. It could be the way someone’s tied a scarf on the underground, an amazing book in the library, looking at pictures of my Mum as a teenager, or someone serving me at the local corner shop! I try to make sure I observe, rather than walk around with my head down.
What is the one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?
I was a 90’s teenager, so anything I owed at 16 I would love to be wearing right now.
You always splurge on, and you always save on…
I love a good bag. I splurge on those. I’m currently stocking up on Sophie Hulme. I always try to save on fad’s. I slip into lusting after things I think I should be wearing right now and then after a month I won’t touch every again.
What is one thing you can always be sure to find in your closet?
Black! My leather jacket, jeans, ankle boots. My style has evolved over the last few years and I have started to spend money on great staples such as classic cashmere jumpers and brilliant breton tops.
What is your favourite outfit ever worn?
My wedding dress.
What is your fashion motto?
If you are struggling to get dressed in the morning, or even for a party, ‘ basics, high heels, a good bag, statement jewllery, red lipstick and leave the house’ You are done!
Your #1 style tip is…
Experiment with clothes, they are put on this earth to be fun.If you believe in what you are wearing, and wear it with confidence, the rest of us will look on in awe.
