I don’t know about you, but there is something about teenagers that strikes both immense fear and jealousy into my being. I am equally enraged and in awe at the power of the teens; both figuratively and literally. They seem to have it all figured out! Which, as someone who wasn’t a teenager all that long ago for me to even be allowed to really complain about not being one, I know is a lie. Teenagers have little to nothing figured out. Meaning that all these teeny-boppers’ Awkward Phases are a lot less cruel than anyone else’s. 

It’s like there is a new breed of youths that are serving as the main attention getters of recent times. Much in the same way that Regina George ruled over her peers, the teenage Rich and Famous rule over the media scene…which is basically the whole world, let’s be real.

Combine the effects of their youth and their wealth, you get a fascination for the style they create. Everything they touch turns to gold, including Instagram and Twitter accounts, easily racking up millions upon millions of followers between them, not to mention the piles of blogs dedicated to these kids. 

They are virtually inescapable. 

This new “Brat Pack” idea has been going on for quite a while, but we’ve become the most aware of it due to the recent public infatuation with Lily-Rose Depp. The daughter of the incomparable Johnny Depp and French-Girl extraordinaire Vanessa Paradis, Lily’s rise to “It-Girl” status is a no-brainer, but it’s the speed and force of her rise to power that took us by surprise. Her hair, her clothes, her Chanel appearance…and she’s 15 years old. But it doesn’t end with Lily. 

There is a full-fledged Gigi Hadid obsession currently among us at The Strategy. It’s nearly impossible to go through any style based website and not see a picture or dozen of the infamous Jenner sisters. Lorde is the dark horse of the high-end fashion community, winning approval from the best of the best for her quirky unapologetic style. Just entering the Teen Dream Team, Brooklyn Beckham is the offspring of fashion and celebrity royalty- he’s a shoe in for the job. 

I don’t know how these teens have managed to be more stylish and cool than most adults I know, but I can tell you one thing: I want to be like them when I grow up.
