Every year as we’re gathering our top inspirations for the summer, there are common style icons who stick around on an annual basis. For some reason, these women more than others are admired and adored in the summer months by many a fashion fan. There are style inspos that are trendy and in the moment, and than there are those that go above and beyond. Those that inspire us in a lifestyle way as much as they do a fashion style way.

These are our Golden Girls.

The Classic: Brigitte Bardot is the first in line. There’s something about her style that screams summer, and we want to join in. From the voluminous hair and the sultry makeup, to the subtly sexy clothing, Brigette is the ultimate French girl to inspire all of our summer needs.

The Bohemian: Kate Hudson is the human embodiment of summer. She has boho-cool down to an art form with her maxi dress/jeans-and-tee/yoga pants cocktail. We always wish that we could find the same balance of bohemian and glam that Kate has. 

The Athlete: Gisele Bündchen. They call her ‘The Body’ for a very good reason, folks. She can wear anything, which works in her favour, but our most beloved Gisele is casual Gisele. I mean, it’s not everyday that someone looks that comfortable in a bikini. She may have retired from the catwalk, but she will forever be walking around in our minds as we try to get in shape. 

The Obvious: Kate Moss circa the early 90s in those photos by Corinne Day. Also Kate Moss circa whenever. Do we need to explain further? No? Okay, good.
