Stylist Olivia Bannock was destined for fashion. She is collected, casual, and chic in the same way that we view the iconic French Girl. Heralding from Canada, Olivia now spends her days in New York where she works as a stylist to the likes of Hilary Duff. When she’s not serving up style inspiration, she can be found sharing her wisdom on photoshoots — a wisdom that The Strategy is lucky enough to have access to. From magazine editorials to celebrity clients to her own personal style, Olivia Bannock is one to follow.
How do you start your day off?
I sleep through the first 3o minutes of my alarm…Then a smoothie, the gym, and off to work.
What’s going on in the background when you are getting ready?
Easy listening music. I’m currently obsessing over any and all Beatles albums.
You never leave home without…
iPhone, wallet, sunglasses and my swell water bottle.
What are your closet essentials?
First: DENIM!!! I have 5 pairs of the Citizens of Humanity ‘Rockets’ – They fit like a glove. Second: A good/cool jacket that can change any look.
What is your biggest fashion regret?
You’ll never know because I’ve burned all the images.
You always splurge on, and you always save on…
I splurge and save on The Real Real – It’s my guilty pleasure. I also sell my clothes on it!
What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?
I secretly wish I had preserved my pink velvet Juicy Couture sweatsuit…#TBT
Your fashion motto is…
If your boyfriend thinks it’s atrocious, then it is DEFINITELY worth buying.
Your #1 style tip is…
Ignore the size on the tag. The better the fit, the better you will look.
