While most of us who work in the fashion industry are the lucky ones who are living our dream jobs, it does come at a price. The downside to the free samples and epic party invites is the reality of standing for hours in heels that kill your feet, routinely testing out new beauty experiments that don’t always end well, and constantly having to have an up-to-date wardrobe. I know – sigh. But it all comes to a head in the beginning of September, when we welcome the start of Fashion Month.
During this time, we feel so conflicted about our jobs. On the one hand, scoring an invite to the Prabal show is something most of us work towards our entire careers. On the other hand, by the time mid-September rolls around, we battle exhaustion, our feet kill and we’re constantly hungry. That’s the truth of it. Not so glamorous, you see!
Over the past few years and fashion seasons, we’ve narrowed down what we keep in stock for our fashion month arsenal, that follows us from New York to London, to Milan and finally to Paris.
The Re-Chargers
Our devices are constantly on empty, and we’re hungry (did we say that already?). Not to mention the not-so-designer bags under our eyes. Without these in our arsenal, we’re not sure we’d make it through one week. Let alone a whole month.
