The Future is Female: Elise Gabriel

The Future is Female: Elise Gabriel

Written by The Strategy

Girl Boss. She.E.O. It’s time for the world to realize that the future is, well, female. There are so many female entrepreneurs who inspire us and we wanted to know more about how they got their companies off the ground. Welcome to our new series: The Future Is Female, where we sit down with inspiring female entrepreneurs and get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how their companies operate.

We were just talking about Paradox, so naturally, we thought we’d give you a little more details on how its creator, Elise Gabriel, is making it in the business.

What made you start Paradox?

I couldn’t find products that checked all of my boxes – I wanted products that were chic, sustainably-sourced, effective, organic, AND easy to travel with. So, I made my own!

What was the biggest struggle when you first started?

HATERS! People will always doubt you and tell you everything thats wrong with your dream. I choose to listen, but ultimately, I go with my gut.

How did you come up with the name?

Paradox. The modern women who use our products are inspiring complex paradoxes. I love the intricacy of being a woman and wanted a name to reflect it.

What inspires Paradox the most?

The women who use our products and building a brand/company to support them.

What was the moment you realized you were making it?

I’m always looking forward. There is still so much work to be done! #GoGoGo

Do you have any advice for young entrepreneurs?

Never back down! And always carry an iPhone charger with you.
