Yesterday, Kensington Palace confirmed the news we’ve all been waiting for: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are pregnant with their first child.
Just as the couple embarked on the first day of their two-week trip to Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji, the Palace confirmed the news with a brief statement: “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
Here’s what we know so far about the #RoyalBaby:
- The newest member of the royal family is expected Spring 2019; no due date has been confirmed.
- He or She will be 7th in line to the throne
- The news comes just 5 months after the royal wedding
- The baby won’t be a ‘prince’ or ‘princess’
- This royal baby may or may not grow up closing its own car doors
Now, what does one gift a royal baby? We can’t wait for Spring 2019.
