In the yesteryears of 2017, Rihanna changed the beauty industry with the launch of Fenty Beauty that included 40 shades of foundation. A foundation range for almost every skin tone. Now, she and the Fenty team are stepping up their game with 50 shades of Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer (say that 5 times fast). Rihanna revealed the new concealers January 11th in an Instagram video, with the caption “New year, New #FentyBeauty. We got #TheCure to your #newyearseve”.

While we’re no longer hungover, at TS HQ, and like the rest of the world, we all don’t fall into the category of light, medium or dark, so we were excited for the launch of the 50 shades – move over Anastasia Steele. We tried it on the array of skin tones that make up #TeamTS and discovered there was a shade for every skin tone. It did take us a while to get through all the different swatches to find our perfect number, but once we did, we had faith in knowing that the shades we just found corresponds with the Pro Filt’r Foundation range as well. Do the hard work once, and don’t worry about doing it again.

The super pigmented (a little goes a long way) concealer is made to ‘hide bags, dark circles, hangovers and bad decisions’, and has a gorgeous soft matte finish that never gets tacky, like most formulas. The range is not so much about creating those in-between shades, but rather, extending the variety of offerings for skin tones that are often neglected.  Thank you Rihanna!
