We Need to Talk About the We-Vibe

We Need to Talk About the We-Vibe

Written by The Strategy

It’s been a whopping near 70 days since Stay At Home orders started in Canada. Restaurants and bars closed, retail moved online and we switched friend and family gatherings from in-person to Zoom. Many hastily made the decision to cohabitate with their significant others or wait out the quarantine separately. Many had to put their dating lives on hold. The State of New York deemed that “safest sex was with yourself.” We’ve baked banana bread, we’ve indulged in self-care, and enjoyed our own company, but at this point, for those of us who are quarantining alone, we’re a little frustrated. Sexually frustrated.

We understand that staying home and social distancing from others is a critical step in slowing the spread of COVD-19. While it is tempting to call over our significant others for a quick romp, or finally meet that Tinder connection in person, we agree with New York, that for the time being, we are our own safest sexual partner. When we spoke recently to Samantha Bitty, she suggested for couples who are apart during this time, the use of remote control vibrators, like the We-Vibe Chorus. We were intrigued by this suggestion, and decided to try the We-Vibe Chorus for ourselves.

Details

The We-Vibe Chorus is a C-shaped, bendable design intended for a secure fit. It has a ‘Squeeze’ Remote (more on that later), connects via AnkorLink™, is quiet, and 100% waterproof. It’s meant for couples, but can also be used for solo-play. We-Vibe describes the Chorus as, “The most intuitive couples vibrator by We-Vibe ever — with an adjustable fit, touch-responsive controls and hands-free vibrations that take sex to a whole new level.”

Review

Regardless of our relationship or quarantine status, the We-Vibe is a game changer. We first tried it solo, then tried the We-Connect option with our partner who is quarantining separately. Some day soon, we hope to try it together, as the We-Vibe is shaped to wear during sex.

The We-Vibe Chorus fit perfectly, and felt secure during use. It can be shaped to fit your body, so the vibrations hit right where you want them. What sets this vibrator apart from others is the Squeeze Remote. This remote allows the vibrator to follow your lead when it comes to pleasure, as a squeeze on the remote intensifies the vibrations.

Trying the Chorus with my distanced partner, was a fun experiment. It took us a minute to get used to the messaging system on the app, but once we got into the flow, it was great learning the toy together. We tried out different modes and ways to play with vibrations and intensity, and eventually found our groove. It was perfect for us to be intimate together while being far apart.

Since the first use, the We-Vibe Chorus has replaced our other toys, and is getting us through this socially distanced and sexually frustrated period.
