Bio

We’d like for you to meet the design director and influencer behind Egg Canvas, and founder of  SUPEREGG, Erica Choi. She’s an NYC-based aesthetician and creative consultant, who previously held the role of Vice President of Digital Design at a small shop you may know of, Barneys New York. She’s an unstoppable force to be reckoned with and her new skincare line, SUPEREGG, is bound to become a top shelf staple. It’s a plant-based, clean and cruelty-free skincare line based on the beneficial nutrients found in eggs, only all formulas are made with plant-based ingredients. Not only is it great for your skin, but also good for the planet.

Q&A

How do you start your day off?

As soon as I wake up, I turn off my alarm. I use an app on my iPhone called Sleep Cycle, which tracks your sleep, and I find it immensely helpful in seeing how long and how well I slept. I take a quick scan through my e-mail and notifications while still in bed to see if anything urgent has come up. I then head straight to the bathroom for my morning skincare routine. I like going in with a morning cleanse, then apply all the essentials – toner/essence, a brightening serum or sheet mask, moisturizer, and SPF. I make myself and my husband a matcha latte before sitting down and really getting through my morning emails and admin work.

What’s going on in the background when you are getting ready?

I usually have a Podcast playing, but lately, it’s been listening in on a room in Clubhouse.

You never leave home without…

iPhone, wallet, lip oil, hand cream, hand sanitizer, sunglasses.

SUPEREGG SOUND RENEWAL MOISTURIZER
ZIIP DEVICE
NANUSHKA LOTTI SLIP DRESS
GUCCI POUDRE DE BEAUTE ECLAT SOLEIL BRONZING POWDER

What are your closet essentials?

Combat boots, chic sneakers, an oversized black blazer, a voluminous white dress.

What is your biggest fashion regret?

As mush as I think about it, I have no regrets. Even though I’ve worn many things in that past that I would not dare wear now, they were all pieces that brought me joy and hold a special meaning to that particular moment in my life.

You always splurge on, and you always save on…

I always splurge on shoes, bags and outerwear. I always save on basics, loungewear and undergarments.

What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?

My super oversized black and white Northface puffer jacket!

BYREDO SUNDAZED EAU DE PARFUM
ANOTHER TOMORROW ROLL-NECK SWEATER
BOTTEGA VENETA SPEEDSTER SNEAKERS
SUPEREGG CALM MOVEMENTS EYE & CHEEK MASK

What inspires your style most?

So many things. From the runway to fashion and culture media, and other influencers and models, I love seeing how different items that have caught my eye are styled in various and unique ways.

You’re Number 1 style tip is…

You should buy only what makes your heart flutter. Wear only what gives you comfort, confidence and makes you feel like your best self.
