Sweatpant Fatigue

Sweatpant Fatigue

Written by The Strategy

We don’t know about you, but we’re sick of sweatpants. There. We said it. Whether they’re cashmere, cotton, or our old university sweats, sweatpant fatigue has set in, and we can’t bring ourselves to wear another pair.

It’s been too long. At first, we were big enthusiasts of athleisure, and dressing comfortably to WFH, but over a year in we’d be happy to never see another lounge pant ever again (barring evenings and weekends, of course). A new season is upon us, and we’re ready to update and upgrade our wardrobes accordingly. Saying that, however, we also find ourselves at a loss for what to actually wear.

We’re not quite ready to don work trousers and fancy blouses, as working from home is still our norm. We still want to be comfortable, but we also want to feel elevated. As Instagram has become (one of) our only sources of inspiration, we naturally turned to the social platform for wardrobe inspiration, and our needs were perfectly met. After scrolling our favourite accounts, we came up with some options and ideas.

@OlsenOracle

Leave it to the Olsen twins to consistently inspire us. A peek at @OlsenOracle’s Instagram page left us with endless comfortable-yet-put-together looks.

We weren’t lying when we originally said Nathalie Martin and her Instagram was a source of inspiration. Naturally, a quick scroll through her account had us knowing exactly what we wanted to wear.Sweatpant Fatigue

The Smyth Sisters’ account is a relatively new find, but one that we’re absolutely loving. We already see ourselves wearing the below look for our next grocery store run. While the look is definitely comfy, it has the sense of being put-together that we’ve been aiming for. Sweatpant Fatigue
