I will never forget the first day my older sister took me makeup shopping. Deciding that I had borrowed enough of her products, she marched me into the closest Sephora and guided me to buy my first ‘essential’ products. The first product to be added to our black mesh basket: Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
Fast forward (an amount of years I am unwilling to disclose), and the primer still holds prime retail on my beauty top shelf. Since buying my first tube all those years ago, as a beauty aficionado, I have tried many a face primer that boasts a longer lasting makeup application, but few have actually achieved it. As the #1 makeup primer in Canada, I can confidently say that Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer is the best out there. The oil free primer smooths skin and pores, which helps to make your makeup application last, and it also has the added benefits of Vitamin A and Vitamin E to protect your skin.
Now, expanding on the original primer’s success, Smashbox has introduced a new collection of primers. The new collection of 4 primers, Photo Finish Silkscreen Primers, are made with technology that not only perfects the skin for a flawless makeup application, but also protect your skin with formulas targeted to specific skin concerns. The lineup includes Photo Finish Correct Anti-Redness Primer, Photo Finish Primerizer+ Hydrating Primer, Photo Finish Illuminating Glow Primer, and Photo Finish Control Mattifying Primer.
The Correct Anti-Redness Primer is a green-toned primer that aims to neutralize redness with a satiny finish. The Primerizer+ Hydrating Primer deliver’s instant 72-hour hydration to create a dewy look. The Illuminating Glow Primer is made with finely milled pearls to instantly brighten and illuminate the skin for a radiant look. The Control Mattifying Primer is a shine-free primer with a matte finish which primes for a matte look.
Each product is infused with an innovated ‘Silkscreen Complex’ that creates a breathable, silky barrier that perfects the skin by smoothing and strengthening it against environmental stressors. The Silkscreen Complex is made up of a blend of antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid, probiotic extract, vitamins and algae.
To celebrate the launch, Smashbox partnered with a talented group of 6 Canadian story-tellers: Tanya Kim, Killa Keys, Mademoiselle Jules, Sarain Fox, Yolanda Largie and Lucie Gonzalez.
Now, I just need to clear out some space on the shelf to accommodate all 5 products in Smashbox’s Primer repertoire.
