TS 2022 Best Dressed List

TS 2022 Best Dressed List

Written by The Strategy

We’ve rounded up red carpets in the past with lists of our choices for best dressed attendees, but as we enter into 2023 and reflect upon 2022, we realized we definitely have a list of our favourites for the entire year. There are certain fashion-inclined ladies who simply had us screenshooting each outfit post and yearning for such sartorial flair in our own wardrobes.

Unlike most celebrity-driven best dressed lists, the TS 2022 Best Dressed List is comprised of women who hail from all corners of the fashion world – from actors, to stylists, to designers and journalists. While it was hard to narrow down our favs to just 10, we want you to know that these ten women really had us holding inspired all throughout the past year.

Without further ado, here is the TS 2022 Best Dressed List:

Beverly Nguyen

Beverly Nguyen’s Instagram page is a near constant source of inspiration for Team TS. We’re jealous of her social calendar, huge fans of her Nordstrom pop-up shop, Beverly’s, and strongly admire her ability to stand out from any crowd (even a crowd of famous New York faces crossing a busy intersection on the cover of New York Magazine).

Zendaya

We think it’s safe to say that nearly everyone has been obsessed with Zendaya’s style for the last few years. The red carpet looks she and stylist, Law Roach, pull out is always on the top of every best dressed list, and her date night style has us itching for a night out.

Christine Centenara

As a stylist to some of the most notable names in fashion (read: Naomi Campbell), the newly appointed editor-in-chief of Vogue Australia, and the co-founder of Wardrobe.NYC, we think it would be weird to not mention Christine Centenara on this list. From her ability to style an oversized blazer in a multitude of ways, to bringing back the renaissance of foot strap leggings, this item constantly has an eye on everything this multi-hyphenate does.

Cortne Bonilla

Cortne Bonilla may just be our absolute favourite fashion person this past year. Her Twitter account has us just as hooked as her IG, and don’t even get us started on her chic AF engagement photos. Until we saw the Editorialist Magazine fashion and beauty editors engagement images, we always thought they had to take place in a meadow or grassy field – never did our simple minds take us somewhere so chic. As we head into the new year, we have our fingers tightly crossed that we get to see even the smallest glimpse of what we believe will be the most fabulous and beautiful wedding of all time.

Jeanette Madsen

We love when people have fun with fashion, and that seems to be just what Jeanette Madsen does. The creative director and co-founder of Rotate Birger Christensen is a constant fixture on the street style scene, and knows how to pair Adidas Sambas with a Max Mara teddy, and really rock and all-denim look.

Quannah Chasinghorse

Not only is Quannah Chasinghorse the most stunning fashion model, but she also is an inspiring activist with a killer sense of style, paying homage to her Native American roots. Her 2022 Met Gala look, designed by Prabal Gurung and accessorized with jewelry by Antelope Women Designs was a beautiful look that stood out from the rest.

Chrissy Rutherford

Ok, so we may be a little biased with this one, as Chrissy Rutherford is a TS Alum after all, but we do truly love her style. The writer and brand consultant with a newsletter we look forward to each week, FWDJOY, has a way with fashion. Whether she is pairing red lumberjack plaid with a New York baseball hat to a fancy dinner out, or rocking a feather trimmed black denim mini with sparkly heels, we never expect what she pulls out and we love every look. Chrissy Rutherford is always an inspiration.

Giorgia Tordini

As the co-founder and creative director of every cool girls favourite brand, The Attico, of course we are inspired by Giorgia Tordini’s style. Airing an effortless, this past year, she has paired t-shirts with fringed beaded maxi skirts, oversized denim jackets with neutral baseball hats, and our favourite of the year, sarongs with simple tank tops and clipped back hair. Nearly each post of her outfit has us screenshooting the look with the hopes of recreating her inimitable style.

Jodie Turner-Smith

Another of our red carpet favourites is actress, Jodie Turner-Smith. Willing to push all the boundaries, she is completely unafraid to play with texture, colour, print or pattern, and it makes her stand out from the crowd. We admire her brazen approach to style, and heading into the new year, we hope to inject some of that attitude into our own style.

Neelam Ahooja

We love The Row, and we love what Neelam Ahooja does with her favourite pieces from The Row. The stylist and content creator came to the fashion forefront this past year with her self-described passion for the brand. Now, you can find our fellow Canadian on every website from Vogue to Net-A-Porter discussing her styling techniques and how she scores her most coveted pieces. While we may have yet to amass a collection comparable to hers, we find ourselves in constant awe of her styling compilations.
