What are your closet essentials?

I’m very much a black jeans and white t0shirt girl, so I have 6 different variations of those things. If I don’t know what to wear, I can just do some variation of that with a cute shoe and accessories as needed.

What is your biggest fashion regret?

When I was in high school I wore a black studded belt everyday.

You always splurge on, and you always save on…

I try to not buy anything full price. I both splurge and save at sample sales. I really like reselling clothes that I don’t wear anymore and then buy second-hand.

What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?

I had this really great baby pink t-shirt that said ‘Say No To Cages’, and it had an illustration of birds flying out of a cage. It was so cute and perfect.

What inspires your style most?

Comfort. I’ve realized that I can’t wear anything that is fussy or uncomfortable. What I wear has to get me through a whole day. It needs to honour the manly fluctuations of my body throughout the day.

What is your #1 style tip?

There is no such thing as not being able to pull something off. That is a made up construct that was invented to make women feel bad about themselves. If you love something, you should just wear it.
