Despite our best efforts (read: 10 step skincare routine), we still get cursed with the odd pimple…or two…or three…Caused by stress, hormones, genetics, and polluted air, pimples are an unavoidable part of life. When we were teens, pimples were dealt with by a glob of toothpaste and hope that they would be gone by the morning. Now, as adults, we have a totally new method to deal with them.

No longer hiding our pimples in shame and with a boatload of concealer, we’re injecting ourselves with a pinch of confidence and healing the blemishes with the help of a pimple patch.

Pimple patches have two benefits. The first is that they draw out puss, bacteria and other impurities. The second is that by covering up your blemish with a sticker, you’re less likely to pick at them – which often leads to scaring, and in some cases, infection.

Our two favourite brands for these patches are Starface and Paradox. Starface’s Cyber Star Blemish Patches are packed with pimple fighting ingredients that heal blemishes and zits, protects them from outside bacteria, and reduces scaring. They’re vegan, cruelty free and oil free. Paradox’s Blemish Patches are similar, in that they draw out impurities and bacteria, and reduce scaring potential. The tiny stickers are applied to a pimple and can be worn for up to 6-8 hours. When it’s time to remove, all the grime and bacteria clogging your pores will be stuck on the sticker – not on your face.
