Just when I thought I couldn’t be anymore obsessed with style icon, Olivia Palermo, she teams up with Ciaté London as their guest creative director for 2015. The result? The only 3 nail polishes every woman needs for summer, complete with beautiful individual white and gold packaging.
The polish trio (launched this month) is the first of four collections, and is inspired entirely from Olivia’s personal life and favourite colours. Taking her back to her kindergarten days, ‘Hutch red‘ is named after her mother, Lynn Hutchings who used to treat Olivia to regular mani-pedi’s growing up and always only in the colour red. The nude ‘Sunday’s‘ polish pays tribute to her (very handsome) husband, Johannes Huebl’s weekly Instagram posts, which he captions “Sunday’s.” The coral ‘Nantucket‘ shade recalls one of her favourite travel destinations, and according to Olivia, looks really good with a tan.
Personally, I couldn’t be more thrilled with this polish trio. Unwrapping these beautifully packaged polishes (say that 10xs fast) is absolutely heartbreaking. But once you’ve popped them out of the cellophane and box, you’re left with a polish that glides on smooth, thanks to the precision brush, and really requires only one coat. An added bonus is the shellac fortifier that is part of the formula, that gives the polish actual longevity.
These are certainly three colours I will be wearing all summer. What makes it even more special is that I know Miss Palermo will be wearing them too (twinsies!)
The Olivia Palermo x Ciaté London collection is now available at Sephora.
