You’ve got your keys, your sunglasses, your wallet- but what about your shoes?
Driving shoes are an important detail when heading out on the road. You sure can’t drive in heels, no matter how much you try to convince yourself you can. So driving shoes are a must. And they’re comfortable! Bonus.
Never mind running shoes or sandals, loafers are the way to go. Slip on and slip off as easy as can be. You can squish them together and stash them in your car so they’re at the ready whenever you need them to be. You spent a long time choosing those shoes to go with that outfit, and you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your effort because you need to drive somewhere. That’s why driving shoes are essential, in our minds. They allow you to have your cake and eat it too.
Sperry’s are an all time favourite, but because the style of loafers has become popular again, you can find similar styles practically everywhere. Since they are a kind of luxury buy, finding a pair of shoes to drive around in that are also your wallet’s friend is the ultimate goal. That being said, you don’t want to skimp on quality. You can look at driving shoes as an investment piece on the same level as a good pair sunglasses, or a quality watch. They should be comfortable, long-lasting, and go with a variety of outfits for when you’re on the run and use them as actual walking around shoes.
If loafers are too preppy for you, but you want something equally as comfy on your feet, Vans or similar style skate shoes are for you. Skater shoes for the every day person, Vans and other similar skater shoes aren’t just for lazy high school kids. Givenchy has a pair made for the cool kids, with crystals set in the top. And Common Projects does a cute girly slip on in bubble gum pink.
Basically, you have no excuse. There’s a driving shoe for everyone! Ditch the smelly old flats that you know are not as great as they once were, and get a pair that will make your feet happy. If your feet are happy, you’re happy. Which makes you less likely to break into rage at other drivers.
Good shoes make you a nicer driver.
How’s that for talking our way into making shopping completely logical?
