Another week, another set of fashion shows to attend. Virtually, that is. This time it was Milan’s turn to wow us via internet and live stream capabilities, and man did they ever.
Our top three shows were Moschino, Missoni, and of course, Dolce & Gabbana.
Moschino was basically our childhood dreams come to life. The clothes, the hair, the music…it was Barbie through and through. All we need now is a Barbie Dream House, that pink mirror iPhone case, the grand finale dress that rivals all grand finale dresses, and we are good to go. Maybe add the shoe purse to the list, while we’re at it.
Missoni gave us the most wonderful earthy paradise with retro headscarves to top it off. We didn’t know how much we could love lavender and aqua together. Sheer fabrics are continuing to have a moment, and oversized coats are still holding their own, this time in trench form. Each piece looked like a different part of the sky during sunset. A complete dream.
Last but not least, we have Dolce & Gabbana. D&G took us all a little further south to Sicily, specifically during it’s Spanish rule. Mixing gorgeous embellished mini skirts and shorts, matador inspired blazers, and sharp white button downs was as successful as ever. We feel inspired us to put roses in our hair, the duo’s Iconic 615 Classic Cream Lipstick on, and march around feeing beautiful.
Final thoughts: Loving the retro vibes from all fronts. If this is any indication of what we are in store for next Spring/Summer, we cannot wait.
