The image you see above is a newly released Burberry Brit Leather Jacket.
It is made of real leather, includes embellishments such as buckles and buttons, has an asymmetric zipper, as well as ribbed paneling for added touch of detail.
The jacket also costs about $2,400.
We are here to prove why it’s worth buying. Get your notebooks and calculators out, we’re doing math.
Are you ready?
If you were to buy this lovely jacket within the next week, it would arrive in time for use during the winter season. This is where our calculations begin.
So, $2,400.
Say you go out to dinner/drinks/holiday parties about 14 times from the end of November to the middle of February 2015. Between that time, you also know how much of a pain it is to shop in a big winter coat, so you wear the leather jacket all 6 times you go Christmas shopping. Since this jacket is obviously amazing, it also manages to become your go-to for Spring 2015. You’ll wear it almost everyday in April and May, plus half of June because Canadian summers really start in July.
Speaking of summer, the nights get a little chilly sometimes and those shorts you bought look really good with a leather jacket, so it gets 8 wears between July and August nights out. Moving into Fall 2015, (this is a classic style jacket, people- it doesn’t go out of style) you wear it from mid September to around the end of October. About 53 wears.
The total amount of wears your Burberry Brit jacket would stack up is about 153. Which means that at $2,400, it would cost $15.70 (approximately) per wear from the end of this November to the beginning of next November.
Not bad.
And keep in mind, this is a classic style. Black, leather, no super flashy details…if you take proper care of it, this jacket will last you years. Eventually, you’ll save money.
You’re welcome.
