You’ve packed enough bikinis and sarongs for you and your girl squad, but have you considered your airport look? Probably not. Airport fashion seemed to be the least of our concerns until around 2008 when what you wore pre-boarding suddenly became equally as important as what you’ve packed for the weekend in Rome.
Today, airport fashion consists of two extremes: a) in the form of loosely fitted clothing (men’s or women’s), flip flops, and bedhead. Or b) in the form of falsies, blow outs, and very high heels – not to mention the copious layers of alarm offsetting jewellery. So which will it be? Or is there a happy medium? Airport fashion is not for everyone, but when it is done right, it can be just as exciting as any red carpet look out there.
Without going too overboard, we’ve compiled a series of 6 airport-friendly essentials for you to consider pre-check in. Shop below for alarm-friendly fashions that look and feel as good as a first class ticket.
