Alas, we are facing the last days of summer. Some of us are welcoming the fresh air and sweater-friendly temperatures, and the rest are clutching onto our sandals and beach towels for dear life. No matter what side of the debate you stand on, one thing is certain across the board: the glow that our skin has amassed will be missed when the snow inevitably starts falling and the sun sets at 4:30pm.
In an attempt to grasp what we can out of these last few beautiful days of freedom, it is fitting to suggest some fantastic self-tan products to get your glow on.
Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel starts us out, promising to bring a naturally enhanced glow to the skin. Although some reviews site a strong smell, the lightweight oil-free formula and quick result time make up for it. Old favourite Jergens Natural Glow is the daily moisturizer everyone should have in their collection. It’s foolproof, gradual, and a steal of a price. There’s a reason it’s an award winner. A somewhat surprising faux tan fave is Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, which is very quick and very simple. It’s titled “leg makeup” since it washes right off in the shower, but it definitely gets the job done when a quick fix is needed.
Sephora Tinted Self Tanning Body Mist is the more intense and long-lasting version of the “leg makeup” idea. Tinted so that you can tell where it’s been applied, made without harmful ingredients so your skin stays healthy, and a bit shimmery for extra impact. Also very fairly priced. Well done, Sephora! As previously mentioned, St Tropez Bronzing Mousse is the all around go-to for faux tan. It’s the best of the best, and we cold talk about it all day but we need to have options since getting your hands on a bottle is usually not easy. Last but not least, we have Vita Liberata pHenomenal Tan Mousse. The rave reviews of a streak-free, odourless tan and moisture-lock technology peaks our interest.
The last week of summer is always bittersweet, but at least you can face it with an extra pep in your glowing step thanks to these products. Not only do they make you look great, but they keep you feeling like a golden girl from January to December.
P.S: Make sure to have an applicator mitt handy, especially for the mousses.
