Ladies and gents, we are officially in the 2015 Holiday season.
As a warm welcome to the time of year filled with get-togethers, parties, cold nights, and soirées of all kinds, we wanted to share some drinks that would fit in perfectly with all the festivities.
From a traditional Moscow Mule to a Hot Apple Toddy, we’ve got you covered.
Moscow Mule
1.5 oz vodka
4 oz ginger beer
Juice of half a lime
Add all components to a cold mug, stir together, and garnish with a slice of lime. To keep with tradition, a copper mug is the go-to, but any metal will do just fine for that extra touch of shine.
Peppermint Irish Coffee
1 cup strong coffee
3 oz Irish cream
Half of a candy cane
While the coffee is still hot, add in the half candy cane and let it melt, stirring to ensure it is fully mixed. Pour in your Irish cream of choice, and enjoy.
Cranberry Mimosa
Champagne
Cranberry Juice
Frozen cranberries
As with any mimosa, the fine details are up to you. Pour in champagne to your hearts desire, add as much (or little) cranberry juice as you like. To keep it cold, add to the ambiance, and avoid watering down your drink, throw in a few frozen cranberries.
Hot Apple Toddy
1 cup black tea
1.5 oz bourbon
1.5 oz apple cider
Sliced lemon
Cinnamon stick
While your tea is still hot, stir in the bourbon and apple cider. Try to go for unsweetened apple cider if you can, the more natural the better. Mix well, and garnish with some lemon slices and a cinnamon stick. Add a squeeze of lemon for extra flavour.
