We all have those days we just need for ourselves. Maybe it’s stress from work, or maybe it’s just that the weather is gross and grey. Whatever the case, our favourite way to spend those days is a “spa day”. And while you may not be ready to drop some G’s at the actual spa, you can spend about $30 and have a head-to-toe self-pampering day in the comfort of your own home. It’s a drugstore spa day.
The D.I.Y Facial – We use Bioré’s Self Heating One Minute Masks. It’s a charcoal based mask that makes our pores virtually disappear. We follow it with Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore strips for the black heads that happen to be missed on our nose and chins. Finish your face with your daily moisturizer.
Moving on to our nails, we enjoy doing the one thing you can’t do at a spa: catch up on RHOBH (Gigi & Bella appearance in 1 episode?! Score!). After setting up the show, we use Sally Hansen’s Instant Cuticle Remover for our cuticles, and also to remove any calluses that may have developed. Once that is dealt with, we add a coat of Essie’s Millionails treatment. It’s a hardener that helps with the peeling and splitting of nails, that often comes with colder weather.
And finally, we move down to our feet. We don’t pass a Sunday without using the Amopé Pedi Perfect Electronic Foot File. It buffs your skin and leaves your feet incredibly soft. The best part about it, is you can feel the difference just after your first use. We rub in some Burt’s Bee’s Peppermint Foot Lotion to finish, and slip into a pair of socks for the night to help retain the moisture.
Now, wake us up when winter is actually over.
