You may remember in 2014, Warby Parker unveiled their Concentric Collection. The collection, which featured a bold ring of acetate around the lenses in a complimentary hue, was a hit for the brand. Fast forward to Fall 2019, and Warby Parker has levelled up with the Super Concentric Collection. The new collection is described by the brand as “the most complex to date”.
For this collection, Warby Parker developed a technique that uses seven pieces of acetate in three colours, to create multicoloured face fronts in three new styles: The Darrow, The Percey and The Francis. The process of layering the three colours of acetate is done by hand, and fused together to create tri-colour blocking and concentric silhouettes. Each frame’s creation is a three month process that takes places in northern Italy. The colour palette on each style consists of three colours: a clear called “Crystal”, a warm brown shade of “Oak Barrel”, and a vibrant deep blue hue called “Blue Bay.”
As Warby Parker is known for delivering stylish eyewear at an affordable price point, this collection is no different, with prices starting at $195.
And, of course, as with every other Warby Parker frame, for each pair of glasses purchased, the brand distributes a pair to someone in need. It’s our favourite part of buying from Warby Parker.
