Shows & Movies to Rewatch

Shows & Movies to Rewatch

Written by The Strategy

It’s yet another week of quarantine for us. Though we miss the atmosphere of a crowded restaurant, the excitement of scoring a designer deal at the mall and simply being with friends and family in person, we are doing our part to protect ourselves and our community by staying home.

While everyday consists of a certain amount of sameness, we set aside a few hours to escape – through books, musics, movies and TV shows. After binging shows like Normal People, Love is Blind and Too Hot To Handle, we thought we had run out of films and TV shows to watch. That is until we decided to rewatch some of our favourites. We almost forgot how chic The Nanny was, and how badly Cher made us want a Calvin Klein dress in Clueless. We compiled a list of our favourites to rewatch, and thought we’d share them with you.

TV Shows

The Nanny (1993)

We love Fran Drescher and want more of her as The Nanny in our lives. Remember the catty banter between her and the butler, Niles?

Where to Watch: Prime Video

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990)

Will Smith will always have us in stitches as the Fresh Prince. Also, his fresh pair of Jordan’s in every episode has us considering the purchase of a pair.

Where to Watch: Netflix

How To Make It In America (2010)

This drama-dy only lived for 2 seasons, but we forgot how much we loved seeing Ben Epstein try to make it in the fashion industry.

Where to Watch: HBO

Movies

Breakfast At Tiffany’s (1961)

This film is such a no-brainer. While we wish we could be out attending fancy dress parties like Holly Golightly, we also admire her at-home/sleep attire. Has anyone ever had chicer earplugs?

Where to Watch: Prime Video

Reality Bites (1994)

How great was Winona in the 90s? While re-watching, we identified with Winona as she braided her hair and repeatedly called Ms.Cleo for life advice.

Where to Watch: Prime Video

Clueless (1995)

The new Emma remake was good, the 90s Gwyneth Paltrow was great, but our favourite adaptation of Emma will always be Clueless. How is it possible that Cher’s rotating closet still doesn’t exist?

Where to Watch: Netflix
