As we all adjust to #stayhome orders and life in quarantine, we’re checking in with TS Alum to learn more about what their life in lockdown is like.
Are you quarantining with anyone?
I’m currently quarantining with my mom and my boyfriend.
What does an average day look like, for you now?
I wake up at 7:30am, and then I will start my morning skincare routine, followed by a yoga session. I’m trying out the intermittent fasting thing at the moment, so I will have my first meal around noon; it’s a classic keto diet kind of brunch. After that, I will start working. Doing FaceTime calls, and reading for the most part. Sometimes, I just take my camera and start taking some photos, but that depends on the lighting. Then I cook dinner. At night, I usually watch a movie, finally get some workout done before bed, and end my day with my night skincare routine.
What is a typical outfit you’re rocking now while you’re staying home?
Silk pyjamas or a sweatshirt plus sweatpants, because comfortability is key.
What can you absolutely not live without during this time?
Wifi and books. As an influencer, you need to stay informed with what’s going on in the world, and reading books makes me calm; it feels like meditation.
For you, what is the best part of quarantine, and what is the worst part?
Best part is that now I have time to make healthy meals and workout a lot more. The worst part is that I’m not able to see all my friend. I miss them!
How are you keeping yourself busy?
I make plans everyday and I try my best to do things according to the plan. I find myself being more productive in this way. Also, I set a new goal for myself once a month, because time goes by fast. I want to be able to come out of this quarantine feeling like I have improved in many different ways.
How are you staying inspired?
I start everyday with my morning routine, and that has been really important to me. I have a notebook that I keep full of my plans and the tasks I want to complete each day. This is especially good for these times of quarantine and social distancing – you can lose track of time so easily. Having routines definitely helps anchor you. I also love to explore and learn new things constantly, that helps keep me fresh. Sometimes, it’s through an online course, sometimes it’s as simple as reading a book about wine, finance or art history. Other than that, in order to stay motivated, I love to check out what some of my favourite influencers are up to, and I feel like I’m learning about different cultures from something as small as an Instagram Story. To be able to be constantly inspired is not easy, but for me, photograph and writing blogs has definitely helped. I love taking photos – it makes me appreciate the beauty of life more. I’ve also been writing for some years through my platform to share some of my thoughts on fashion, life and whatever is happening in the world.
