Bio
OccupationDigital Creator, Model, Entrepreneur
You most probably already stalk her on Instagram, but if you don’t, we’d like for you to meet Amy Julliette Lefévre.
The digital creator, entrepreneur and model has captured global attention from brands big and small, for her style, her beauty, and her confidence to be unapologetically herself. Early last year, she took a stand against the Fashion Institute of Technology, refusing to wear racist accessories on the runway. The move not only prompted a public apology from FIT, but also shed more light on the issue of racism in the fashion industry.
Her Instagram feed is impeccably curated, her style is unparalleled and her photography inspires us. Amy’s latest venture is LEFÉV, a sunglass collection. As we find Amy a massive inspiration to us, we had to know what exactly inspires her and her style.
Q&A
How do you start your day off?
My day always starts with a fresh oat latte and some quick exercises. I really love morning caffeine jolts and the clarity provided by sweating out during a workout!
What’s going on in the background when you are getting ready?
I have been loving listening in to really interesting conversations on Clubhouse, with amazing people discussing everything from fashion, cryptocurrencies, social media evolution, art and business.
You never leave home without…
I always, always carry two to three cameras with me. Even if I am heading to dinner, you never know when you will get the perfect light or scene for some content, so cameras are essential. I also always carry a hydro flask with me, regardless of where I go. It is so important to stay hydrated!
What are your closet essentials?
I love versatility, so the key items for a closet include an oversized blazer, below the knee boots, long loose fit jeans, small shoulder bag. I have found that you can always throw these pieces on to a relaxed outfit and you will always upgrade the look!
What is your biggest fashion regret?
I, unfortunately, did try out the jeans under a skirt look in high school. Definitely not my best moment lol.
You always splurge on, and you always save on…
I splurge on oat lattes and try to save on clothing as much as possible! I love to use re-sell apps like Vestaire or The RealReal. I also love vintage shopping!
What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?
When I was 16, I would always sneakily take some of my moms beautiful vintage bags that she had collected from her time living in Paris. I cannot really get away with taking those bags these days.
What inspires your style most?
Comfort, elegance and edginess are the most important factors in my style. I love being comfortable in what I wear, but definitely while keeping it elegant and strikingly unique at the same time.
You’re Number 1 style tip is…
Be open-minded about how you dress and where you find your pieces. I, for example, often shop in the mens section. I love oversized looks and it’s usually much easier to find great ‘fits in that section!
