You may know Carrole Sagba better by her Instagram alias, Lina Ose. The Parisian influencer and digital creator first caught our eye with her elegant sense of style. Her love for blazers and classic style had us coming back for more.
We just had to learn more about her style story so we could share with you all the details that inspires Carrole’s style.
Q&A
How do you start your day off?
My day begins with the awakening of my baby who is only a few months old. It’s a joy to see his smile in the morning when I wake up. Cuddles before his bottle and I don’t have time to drink my coffee before 10 or 11 AM. But, I’m happy to be on maternity leave right now to be with him. We went through difficult times and it’s important for me to be with him.
What’s going on in the background when you are getting ready?
I listen to relaxation music for babies on YouTube/Deezer with my baby, or my partner telling me about his schedule for the day before he leaves for work.
You never leave home without…
My credit card, my phone, and moisturizing lipstick because I hate dry lips; I became obsessed with this product.
What are your closet essentials?
A collection of vintage blazers from designers like Dior or Mugler that I love, worn with jeans. I like these second-hand pieces that have a story and a cut that brands are trying to copy today. Added to this are the faded Levi’s jeans which are vintage or recent models.
What is your biggest fashion regret?
No fashion regret, but as a teenager, I only applied my lipstick to my lower lip. Just imagine! It’s very weird but it was very trendy in my city until I realized it was rubbish! That is my make-up regret!
You always splurge on, and you always save on…
My purchases are less impulsive now than they used to be. Now I try to invest in luxury bags like Hermés, even if my collection currently only has one piece. In my prayers, a day will come when I will have all the models! And I save on clothes by partnering with brands.
What is one piece of clothing you wish you could steal from your 16 year old self?
None. I had no style at this time. But I miss my hair eccentricity. I was able to go to high school with red and blonde hair – today, I have become very classic.
What inspires your style most?
There is great style on the streets of Paris. The style of the Parisians here inspire me a lot! When I walk around, I regularly turn around to admire a style or flat out compliment a girl on her clothes. My favourite pastime is sitting on the terrace of a bar and people watching. It doesn’t matter if it’s a girl or a boy.
