June is Pride Month and we want to help you celebrate pride in style, but also in a way that gives back.
There is still a lot of progress to be made with LGBTQ+ rights around the world, but one small way we can bring awareness to the many issues the LGBTQ+ community faces, as well as celebrate love and pride, is to embrace Pride Month and all it has to offer. Pride celebrations can be traced back to 1969 in the US, and now, the month of June is a month of parties, drag brunches and generally revelry.
Join in on the festivities and celebrate pride in style with LCBTQ+ owned brands, symbolic rainbow colours and brands that give back to the community. Levi’s Pride collection aims to raise awareness of diversity and inclusion and is comprised of genderless, size-comprehensive silhouettes. Marc Jacobs Perfumes has partnered with the US-based organization, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center through the Perfect fragrance. Kate Spade has partnered with The Trevor Project to donate 10% of net profits from The Rainbow Shop to support mental health within the LGBTQ+ youth community. And, Canadian Brand Quo Beauty is donating 10% of sales up to $20,000 from its Pride collection to Pflag Canada.
Show your support loud and proud this Pride Month.
If you’re Toronto based (like us) Toronto’s Pride Parade is finally back after it’s Covid hiatus. The parade starts at 2pm on June 26th and ends at 6pm. See you there 🏳️🌈.
