Summer Glow in a Bottle

We’ve done over the top make-up, we’ve done no-makeup make-up, and we’ve done natural beauty. But as our obsession with wellness and beauty merged, this summer is all about luminous and dewy skin.

The #skingoals phenomenon, otherwise known as ‘the glow’ is a natural, make-up free look with emphasis on sun-kissed skin with bronzing in all the right places. If you have been braving harsh cold temperatures (like we have), glowing skin seems like a far-off dream that would take an entire summer to achieve. But, thanks to many of our favourite brands, it’s not as far-off as one would think.

For many of us at TS, ‘the glow’ has been created with a vigourous beauty routine. A weekly Dermafacial, and a daily application of facial oil followed by a Gua Sha, use of Beautycounter’s Skin Bright Serum, and Orveda face cream. When we feel a little dried out – we add a spritz of face mist throughout the day.

If your mornings don’t accommodate a long morning routine, many brands like, Glossier, have created products that give the dewy skin look, without the 10-step process.

‘The Glow’ doesn’t even just stop at your face. It can be transitioned to your entire body. For a pre-summer glow that has many thinking we’ve just been vacationing in Saint Tropez, we’ve been applying some of our favourite products for a shine and shimmer down our legs, arms and décolletage.
