If you like us, are a Toronto based resident, you may spend most of your shopping hours on Bloor Street. Home to the iconic Canadian department store Holt Renfrew’s flagship store, Chanel, Dior and a mega-sized Sephora, a day spent on Bloor Street West is a day spent in shopping heaven.

Now, a new flagship has popped up on the busy street; a store we didn’t realize we needed until we stepped foot inside to shop. The new kid on the aforementioned block ladies and gentleman, is alexanderwang.

At the tail end of last year, the brand opened its first-ever Canadian flagship on Bloor Street. Inside the mirrored store is the brand’s full current collection including RTW, footwear and accessories. It’s also home to the recently re-launched Men’s collection, Bodywear, and for the first time in an actual store, the kid’s collection.

The store itself features mirror-polished stainless steel tube walls, sparkling concrete floors and red monogrammed carpeting in the dressing rooms, plus mirrors everywhere. Think funhouse, but make it chic.

We visited the store upon its opening and played with the many beautiful garments in the dressing room, tried on some dancing shoes and oogled at the accessories we wanted to incorporate into our wardrobes. We suggest you do the same.
