One thing fashion is never short of is siblings. Sisters are like best friends that you’re related to, and no matter how many times you steal their clothes/shoes/makeup, they have to love you. Through think and thin, there is a bond between them that cannot be broken. Like the personification of elite style, these sisters are always associated with the best of the best. We don’t know for sure, but in our mind, they live a Gossip Girl-like life full of brunches, parties, and really, really great clothes. Which is why they make our top five pairs of fashion sisters.
The Mosses: If you don’t know Kate, what do you know? But did you know that she has a little sister? Charlotte, Lottie for short, is only a couple years older than Kate was when she was first discovered and shares the same innocent look as her older counterpart. They also share Calvin Klein ads, as Lottie is the new face and body for infamous black and white CK photos.
The Delevingnes: Poppy and Cara Delevingne are two of the most well-connected model/socialites around. With designer friends by the dozen and more ad campaigns than we care to count, these two could easily take over the world. Regulars to all the good music festivals, Poppy and Cara are here to stay.
The Aldridges: While Lily Aldridge has been taking over Victoria’s Secret, her sister Ruby has been busy becoming a top model. Gaining fashion cred all her own, Ruby was the face of Marc by Marc Jacobs, walking in the runway and appearing in the classic dreamy ads we all know and love. Ruby and Lily have style in their blood. With a Playboy mom and an artist dad, it was inevitable that the two would end up doing something in the industry.
The Trainas: Socialite royalty, Vanessa and Victoria Traina are no strangers to fashion royalty. They host parties for the likes of Proenza Schouler, act as muse to Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra, and claim both the east and west coasts of the States, living in San Francisco and Manhattan. The Traina sisters went from Hilton comparisons, to high fashion, and that is where they deserve to be.
The Olsens: What’s a list of fashion sisters if it doesn’t include Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen? From their childhood until now, the Olsen’s have remained a constant feature in pop culture, both for their acting and fashion talents. They not only have impeccable style, but they create it for consumption as well. With their lines Elizabeth & James, and The Row, the famous twins have taken over clothing, accessories, perfumes, blogs, books, and everyone’s heart.
