Arm Candy

Three makes a trend right?

Mixing metals

Written by The Strategy

Stacked bracelets are a wonder in a many ways. Adding a bracelet here or there may add some interest to an otherwise empty outfit, but pile on the cuffs and you’ve got a whole other story. An additional two or three members to the arm party can seriously boost your whole look.

Piling on the bangles gives you not only an air of fashion superiority, as clearly, you are so willing to be different in a crowd of bare arms, but also a unique flair all your own. The chances of someone other style conscious person having the exact same cuff/bangle/bracelet mix you are wearing is little to none. That’s because there are so many endless options and combinations that even if you were to wear a pre-stacked pack of bracelets, all the other goodies you add to it makes the mix all yours.

As yet another way to show your personality, you can display your true self through a mixture of gold and silver, possibly an enamel bangle on top of a braided cuff. The choice is all yours! Feeling a little more simpleton? Skinny bracelets can be piled on, too. They are obviously smaller and are less noticeable, so they’re less movement constricting. But that’s not what we’re here for! Stacking cuffs aren’t meant for practicality. They’re meant for showing off your impeccable ability to mix and match a variety of chunky yet tasteful wrist accessories that compliment your outfit in a flattering manner.

That’s why we love the idea of wearing bracelets upon bangles upon cuffs. It’s like a do-it-yourself project that can be adjusted at a whim. Though, we do advise caution when creative your masterpieces. Four or five, maybe even six, bracelets is a good idea. But once your elbows become difficult to move, and you get a case of the T-Rex arms, its time to step away from the accessories. You want to aim for “just right,” not “This is every single bracelet I own.”

That being said, stacked bracelets on your wrists can be the ultimate finishing touch to your outfit of the day. To dress up a denim shirt, to add a boho vibe to a fancy dress, or to jazz up a jeans and t-shirt look, arm parties should never be overlooked. You know sometimes when you feel like you’re missing that one small thing in your outfit? That one small thing might be a few crazy bracelets. It’s worth the try next time you get stumped on what’s missing.
