There are few things we love more than books about style. Nicky Hilton’s 365 Style is no exception. Flipping through the pages you’ll see pictures of Nicky growing up, her style inspirations, and a plethora of cat adorned things. One thing that she makes perfectly clear early on is that this is not a book about how to dress like Nicky Hilton. 

What sets 365 Style apart from other celebrity style guides is that this one has real, useful, smart advice. Without giving too much away, the premise of the guide focuses on a method of building a wardrobe using the numbers 3, 6, and 5. We’ll leave discovering what they mean up to you as extra incentive to pick up the book. Which we totally think you should because it’s actually kind of our new favourite thing. Not only does it make us want to go through our closets and organize until we can’t organize anymore, Nicky’s writing is really funny! She doesn’t present her ideas in an unattainable manner. While reading the many different chapters, each about a different aspect of building a good wardrobe and finding your own style, you forget that you’re reading Nicky Hilton because it sounds like advice from a very stylishly informed best friend. At one point she even gets into some real talk about letting go of security blanket shoes by writing, and we quote, “Ditch the fugly boots and in their place put on shearling-lined smoking slippers or ballet flats. You can do this. We are in it together. And that wasn’t so hard was it?”  It’s that little bit of tough love that we all need sometimes, plus a bit of encouragement on the side. 

Whether you need to do an over haul of your entire closet, could use some packing tips, or just want some insight into Nicky Hilton’s world, 365 Style is worth buying. This is one style guide we won’t leave with the others to gather a bit of dust on a shelf. We have a feeling we’ll be reaching for this book quite a bit. And we bet you will, too.
