As Miranda Priestly would say, “florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.” We know. But what used to be soley feminine and delicate prints, is now having a strong and sophisticated update: one that makes florals appropriate for even the least girly girls amongst us.
Petals, stems, palm leaves – florals are taking all forms and sizes this Spring. From tropical prints as spotted at Erdem, to boho paisleys at Emilio Pucci, and in-your-face abstract petals blooming at Marni, florals are no longer your standard daisy and it’s because of this that they are becoming more acceptable this time around than any Spring season before; and like your ex on the first floor, they’re completely unavoidable and should therefore just be reconsidered by the coldest of hearts.
If small, delicate flowers are not for you, try opting for a large-scale print instead: they make for the perfect show-stopping, empowered look, and are sure to brighten up anyone’s day.
Florals, flowers, fauna – call them whatever you’d like; they’re all coming back to us now and they’re exactly what’s needed after a cold, long Canadian winter.
