In case you haven’t caught on, we have a bit of an obsession with people who exude that elusive “cool” element. We want to be them, we want them to be our friend, and we want to know exactly how they got to be so cool. 

A few specific people come to mind when think of ‘cool’. Especially when a party rolls around. The ease and effortlessness that these Cool leaders give off is what we strive for at social gatherings. Alexa Chung, at the top of our Cool list, is our guiding force when it comes to making sartorial decisions. On many occasions we ask ourselves “WWAD?” While pondering what exactly Alexa would do/wear, we stumble into an internet search of past outfits she’s worn. There is where we find our inspiration.

What we’ve learned is that ‘cool’ girls don’t take themselves too seriously, but they take style seriously. They don’t settle for wearing something they don’t feel is 100% up to their standards. They aren’t afraid to wear something others would be scared of. They aren’t afraid of overdressing a little, wearing some sequins, or pattern. They also aren’t afraid to underdress a little. They just go for it, with an attitude to match. Because they know the power of confidence matched with a good outfit.

It’s a lifestyle, really.

So the next time you’re getting ready for a gathering of some sort, and you’re lost on what you should wear, look no further than your own creative ability. If you like the dress with the beads, wear the dress with the beads.
