Something magical happens when the weather gets cold and the holidays are near. When we’re all craving for toasty and cozy, luxurious and glam come out to play. Each year, as soon as the leaves start to change, the velvet, lamé, sequin, and metallic are pulled out of storage for another season of festivities.

This year it just so happens that the annual trend of luxe fabrics ties perfectly with the ongoing Seventies and Eighties movement. The serendipity of the trends colliding at this time of year means some serious style opportunities are coming our way. The mix and match quality of these inherently Winter fabrics lends itself perfectly to the thrown together, easy vibe that the Seventies gives us. The texture and light play of lamé and satin lead right into the glamorous Eighties, while still being modern.
